January held endorsements for candidates in the Democratic Party Primary Elections and followed up with a mailer to 2,900 eligible voters and supporters
February SAD donated $250 to the Austin Community College (ACC) Foundation for the Emma Barriento’s Scholarship Fund and $100 to the AFL-CIO scholarship fund in the name of Boyce Breedlove
March did a mailer for our endorsed candidates to close to 6000 households. In addition, held endorsements for the AISD Board of Trustees and ACC Board of Trustees with all but one of the endorsed candidates having won. One of the ACC candidates SAD endorsed did not make it into the runoff but the candidate we endorsed for the runoff, won
In April, did a mailer to over 4000 households for the endorsed candidate of the 299th District Court in the Democratic Primary runoff
In May, joined with Capital Area Progressive Democrats supporting the endorsed candidates in both AISD and ACC Elections in a mailer to over 2500 households
June SAD donated $100 to Travis County Democratic Party (TDCP) for the coordinated campaign kickoff and $500 to Bruce Elfant’s ice cream social whose charity of choice this year was the ACC Emma Barrientos’ Scholarship Fund
July donated $150 to TCDP Coordinated Campaign for refreshments and supplies for volunteers
September SAD donated $150 to TCDP coordinated campaign for refreshments for volunteers and $200 to the Linda Chavez campaign
October SAD held the Annual Yeller Dawg Event, which raised close to $8,000. Donated $100 to TCDP for refreshments for Travis County Democratic Coordinated Campaign volunteers, $3,000 to Valinda Bolton for State Representative Campaign, $1000 to Susan Steeg for JP Pct. 3 Campaign, and an additional $2,000 to TCDP
